My good friends Jill and Mike just welcomed a beautiful daughter into their family, and I cannot wait to capture her newborn sweetness next week. But before that, I wanted to share some of the maternity images we captured before her arrival. It was so nice meeting baby Christian and the rest of his beautiful family! His two older siblings absolutely adore him…what a lucky little boy he is to have them. Big sister Sienna would have been quite content cuddling and holding him for the entire session 🙂 I always love capturing family images during newborn sessions…it is such a special time, and one that passes by far to quickly. Usually one parent is the appointed picture-taker of the family, and therefore not included in very many photos. By having these images, the entire family can look back at them over the years to come and remember this memorable time ♥

I love so many things about this session…first of all, I have been photographing this family since big brother Aiden was still in Mama’s tummy and feel so blessed they have chosen me to document so many important family milestones &hearts. Secondly, baby Avery was an absolute dream baby to photograph….so beautiful, and extremely sleepy and curly. And finally, I was able to capture them in their stunning home….I absolutely love that I was able to capture a mix of both posed and lifestyle images.

It was such a pleasure capturing this beautiful family to celebrate Madison turning one year old! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was taking her newborn images. She has grown into such a beautiful little girl, and big sister Sydney loves her so much. I think Sydney was even more excited than Madison when she caught sight of that yummy smash cake!

We have had a very, very long winter here in Nova Scotia…we even had a huge snowstorm on April 1st! As a family, we did have a blast playing outside in all that snow over the past few months…here are a few of my favourite images from our adventures 🙂 They are definitely not all technically perfect nor works of art 😉 but they are our in-the-moment, fun and natural family memories. I am happy I captured them as a memento of our snowy Winter adventures, but now we are SO ready for SPRING!! 😀
